Apna Society ("we", "us", "our") provides a mobile app that helps residents, security staff and management of housing societies manage day-to-day operations — visitor entry, maintenance payments, complaints, community posts and related features. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Depending on how you use the app, we may collect:
We do not collect precise location, contacts, SMS/call logs, or browsing history.
We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
Information you submit (such as your name, flat number, or a complaint) is visible to the relevant society management or security staff as needed for them to carry out their role — this is core to how the app works. We do not share your personal data with third-party advertisers or data brokers.
All data collected by the app is encrypted in transit. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information from unauthorised access.
You can delete your account and associated data at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete Account), or by emailing us — see our account deletion page for details. Data is automatically deleted within 90 days of a deletion request, except where certain records (such as financial receipts) must be retained by your society's management for accounting or legal compliance.
Apna Society is not directed at children and is not designed for use by anyone under 18.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at support@apnasociety.com.
